Fritz London Memorial Prize: Call for Nominations

Nominations are sought for the Fritz London Memorial Prize for Low Temperature Physics, which will be presented at the International Low Temperature Conference (LT30) in Bilbao, Spain, in August 2025.

Deadline for nominations is 15th November 2024.

Call of the EPS Nuclear Physics Division

Nomination is open for two new ordinary board members of the EPS Nuclear Physics Division.

Deadline for nominations is 26th July 2024.

The Oslo Cyclotron

The 87th meeting of the EPS-Nuclear Physics Division board took place in Oslo from 9th-10th May 2024.

The board members took this oppoprtunity to visit the Oslo Cyclotron.

Nobel Prize lecture in Helsinki

Anne L'Huillier gave a lecture during her visit to the Finnish Physical Society earlier this year.

EPS Young Minds Leadership Meeting 2024

The EPS Young Minds Leadership Meeting took place during the EPS Forum 2024 in Berlin in March 2024.

More than 70 participants from the EPS Young Minds network, representing 30 sections, as well as guests from other associations, gathered together.

Nuclear fusion: Top marks for facilities at the IPP Garching

The European research consortium EUROfusion has had more than 100 fusion facilities in its member states independently assessed.

Visit of Anne L’Huillier to Helsinki

The Finnish Physical Society has a tradition of inviting the Nobel laureates in Physics each year to Helsinki to present to their physics community and the wider public.

One of the 2023 laureates, Prof. Anne L’Huillier, continued this excellent tradition earlier this year.
