2021 & 2022 EPS Hannes Alfvén Prize

The EPS Hannes Alfvén Prize is awarded to Sergei Igorevich Krasheninnikov (2021) and to Xavier Garbet (2022). Congratulations to both of them!

EPS Young Minds Lisbon Movie Night

On the evening of 9th October 2021, the Lisbon EPS YM section, with the support of the Portuguese Physics Society, organised the very first edition of the “Young Minds Movie Night”.

2022 Wolf Prize

The 2022 Wolf Prize in Physics is awarded to Anne L’Huillier, Paul Corkum and Ferenc Krausz “for pioneering contributions to ultrafast laser science and attosecond physics”.

Researchers from the EUROfusion consortium – 4,800 experts, students and staff from across Europe, co-funded by the European Commission – used the Joint European Torus (JET) device to release a record 59 megajoules of sustained fusion energy.
